Sell or Keep It ?
The XKR resale values are compressed by the fact the DB9/Virage/Vanquish is relatively low priced. I would pay $70k for an Aston V12 GT, not a 5L XKR; I think that's a pretty common sentiment even as a big Jaguar fan.
This is probably one of those "Google-it" moments...but last time I brought a car over from Ontario I had pre-sale paperwork in place and my car actually originated in USA (which kept me from paying the import tariff.) In this case...my guess is that it is the same car as one sold in the lower 48 (as in US DOT federalized, already - right?) If that is right, then are there any other limitations to bringing it over the border?
Sean W...you know I can't resist another one. This would be an upgrade to my 2012 XK portfolio coupe, right?

The instrumentation in the Canadian cars is metric, but I think all the modern Jags have a switchable function for the odometer, tire pressures etc.; the speedometers are calibrated in kms per hour with a minor reading in mph; all Canadian cars have had third stop lights since 1986 and daytime running lights since 1990 (which in a Jaguar means that all exterior lights are on whenever the car is out of P or N).
i cannot think of any features of the modern Canadian-market cars which would hinder exportation to the US or require alterations.

XKRs should be dragged upward with that. It's not the same league as a DB9 but it's still pretty nice for the price.
XKs are on a different track there.. Sure theyre dragged upward by the market but not very comparable to the people paying $4k more than msrp for a used generic grey crossover. XK should only push up from here
These cars depreciate like they are on fire. It's one of the main reasons I bought one. I would not have expectations for a big payday. I have also thought about buying another car and keeping my XKR. Very few cars look as good.
I would suggest you sell it when the thrill is gone. I still love mine. BMWs, Mercedes and Teslas look like hausfrau's comparatively.
