Default Shocks struts part # crossover fitment list

Looking to find find and organize part numbers for
our XKs, as this information seems mysterious
and hard to find factual answers on what will fit.

4.2 XK with CATS front:
4.2 XK with CATS rear:
5.0 XK with CATS front:
5.0 XK with CATS rear:

4.2 XK without CATS front:
4.2 XK without CATS rear:
5.0 XK without CATS front:
5.0 XK without CATS rear:

XJ shocks crossover fitment?
XF shocks crossover fitment?
F-type shocks crossover fitment?

Wasn’t aware you could get a 5.0 without CATS.

Back when I had an office, I had some sticky notes with results of my research into those part numbers, have to see if I can find them.
IIRC, the 2010-2011 5.0 cars had different part numbers than the 2012+ models. Now that could be just because there was a supplier change when going to the face lift, don’t know.
For completeness, may want to include the XKR and XKRS in the table.

I think if you use the search feature in this forum, you will find the answers you are looking for. If memory serves me correctly, this has been discussed a few times...

Good luck.
Cheers.

:-). well, the trials and tribulations of using a forum as an authoritative source of information.
And to be fair, “someone” will need to do the experimentation if a deviation from spec is preferred. And it won’t be me as I’m happy with oem and spec.
Additionally, this is the better managed forum of those I use. I’m very happy with quick references in the stickies.

Using the terminology from the workshop manual I’ve found that the cross referencing part numbers from a variety of factory parts sources are easily sourced.. if sticking to spec. Otherwise, get a cup of tea and start comparing the specs of the numerous parts…. I’m not so energetic.

xk
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
xf
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
xj
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
f
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/

For any other's just change the ID (id) code to the model code required.
