Hi all a new member here,I have a small problem with my 07 xk coupe the steering wheel rake adjustment does not work anymore the tilt is fine is there an easy fix or is it a replacement column.

 

It must be a UK thing, but in the US, Rake is the same as Tilt. Then there's Telescoping also.
So, which is it?
Have you tried both the Auto position and the Column position? Change between Driver Presets in Memory?
Probably just a switch replacement.

 

have had the column apart today and all components function as they should but when all together it won't work properly,it now operates from the switch but will only move about 5mm at a time in any direction.the tilt(up/down) worked ok before now it doesn't just moves 5mm then stops and the in and out movment is the same.
I have tried two column switches and two small electronic solenoids that engage in the long worm gear.All other components cables all check out ok.
