Default Dent in Steering Wheel Medallion

Has anyone found a way to repair the steering wheel medallion when it gets dented. Appears to be very thin aluminum, my Jaguar tech says he sees many of them dented but Jaguar's recommendation is to replace the whole piece, air bag and all.

Some previous owner punch in my kitty's nose too. I've thought about it a bit, but haven't tried anything yet.
My first thought was to get some super sticky adhesive and attach something to it, and then give it a tug (while holding the medallion edge so I don't pull it off).
The second was to get a wide syringe, make an air tight seal to the medallion, and then try to pop out the nose by quickly retracting the plunger.

Mine's dented too. Pretty sure it has metal tabs bent over on the inside of the airbag.

Yeah, there's one for sale on eBay, so you can see there are bend over tabs on it. Don't think you can replace it without disassembling the air bag (maybe the cover just comes off? Not sure).

It appears that there are more than a few of these things dented. I still hoping someone has found a way to get the dent out without disassembly. (If that can even be done) This might be one of the things that would have been better make from plastic.

If people didn't drive like morons none of our horn emblems would be dented! LOL!
