Default Sun Visor Vanity Lights

Lights on the passenger side sun visor vanity mirror are out. Were working fine for past 7 years. Thought I just needed bulbs but dealer advised that unit has a known fault and there's a TSB out on it from 09/16/2013 JTB00304. Fix is supposedly a "Visor Assembly Lower Level Repair Kit" C2Z27679AMN. Not terribly expensive. Anybody have this issue or familiar with the problem?

Did you have this repaired? Do you have details on the repair?

Default Repair Made

They replaced only the mirror assembly and surround. Not the entire sun visor. Cost under $150. Quick and easy

Hi Everyone
This post was very old but my mirror lights were not working. One did not work and the other would go on and off depending on the angle of the visor. I took both out and there are 2 contacts between the visor and the mirror assembly. I just cleaned them and bent them both towards one another and now they both work fine. Doesn't appear to be any need to replace the visor/mirror assembly.
Here is the TSB on how to take out

Hope this helps anyone out there...
Dave
