Thoughts?
Previously posted about some issues on the 07 coupe I just bought...PO0852 (neutral safety switch voltage), random codes for air intake and engine temp, inactive cruise, and loss of fuel / power at 4500RPM's. Jaguar dealer is stating corrosion-water damage to the Central Junction Box on driver's side. Letting me know repair quote tomorrow. Anyone have any history with this? Causes, cost of replacement? I see the part is $825 -$900 MSRP. Not sure of the labor involved.

I would definitely want to see this corrosion for myself before proceeding with a replacement. Dealers (and Jaguar are certainly not alone in this) prefer to replace a unit rather than attempt any repair.

They sent me pictures of the corrosion in the CJB. No other indications of water damage anywhere else. They are convinced that is my issue and they will not install a used part. And I have to get a second key when it's reprogrammed. (need one anyway) I always expect some repairs on a used car. It will be close to 2k by the time it's done - and two weeks to get the part from UK. Oh well! Thanks for the responses. Definitely need to find a good indy at the beach - no Jag dealer there so I'm having them repair while on a work trip in Huntsville AL.
A 2K "welcome to your new car" on an '07 is big hit. For sure you need two sets of keys. How much is an extra set? $500?

So my $2K question to them would be if this didn't fix the problem will they take the price hit.
