Default took the XKR to 1/4mi track again Fontana dragways. is 13.19 a slow time?

Hello all!

So took my jag out to another drag racing event. Completely stock This time in Fontana Ca
Temperatures around 80, best run was 13.19 , 1.95 60ft and 107trap speed.
Was hoping to be under 13 but its still a little better than last time of 13.3 in Vegas but elevation was higher there.

What you guys think?

There's a crapload of cars there! What was the waiting time? Can you get more than one run in, in a day?

So do you just put it in sport and mash the pedal when the light is green or is there a bit of finesse involved?

Very good time. Right on target for 420hp, 4000lbs, 80* weather.

The time is spot on although I would think the trap speed is a little low it should be a good 3-4mph higher

Also did you have traction on / semi traction or hold down button for 10 seconds to permanently turn off traction

Yes If you hold the traction disable button for approx 10sec or until the car makes a beeps it will permanently disable it and put you virtually in burnout mode but please be cautious as I wouldn't advice to doing this in the rain

Unless you have decent tread or semi slicks I've found just pressing the button will yield the best take off on the strip

thank you for this clarification. I never knew there was a way to fully disable traction control. I had been very frustrated with the "semi" version.

I will try this today!!!!

Sounds good to me, perfect conditions and perhaps you could get the XKR 4.2 to just under 13 secs

Doesn't seem too bad. I'm not a big fan of Fontana's drag strip, I have never ran very well there. When in NC I took my 07 and ran a best of 12.7, but that was in ideal conditions at sea level.
