Default touchscreen crashes

Gooday. Has anyone come across a situation where the touchscreen randomly resets - i.e. goes blank, then the "R" screen then through to the home screen? I think it is linked to the USB that I have been using for some music (maybe a bad file on it) - the music would stop first then the screen would crash, and it only started happening when I started using that USB. I'm now switching to CD to see if it stops, but I'd be interested whether it is a known issue. I havent had it in any of my other Jags.

On one long drive during my summer here I had the entire unit quit on me.. it went blank for some minutes and then rebooted itself.. I think it was more due to the extreme heat in combination with driving (at high speed) for a long period
