Question Track Pads for 2012 XKR

I've been through the threads and I'm hoping someone has new information on track pads for a 2012 XKR with ATE calipers.

I've taken my car to several events with Chin Motorsports at Road Atlanta, Barbers, and NCM. Six to seven hours of track time is normal over the weekend. I have been using EBC YellowStuff pads, and find them insufficient to get through the entire weekend.

I am looking for a pad that I can safely, if perhaps cautiously drive to and from the event, and complete it with pad to spare.

Does anyone have experience tracking this car, and if so are you aware of a pad that will fir my demands? I have checked with EBC and the pad I am using is the most aggressive available for my car. Hawk does not make any pads for my model.

Also if someone has experience with tire pressures that work well on the track for the XKR using nitrogen, I would be interested in hearing about that as well.

Thank you,

Roy Hutcheson

Are your recommending these pads? What I read on EBC's website indicated the RedStuff pads are not acceptable for race use. They did recommend YellowStuff for race use, but those pads are not quite up to the task.

I'm in agreement with you RoyH. I use slotted and drilled disks with metallic pads for this very reason.

No sorry, I should know better! Maybe things have changed but I'm sure the EBC 'system' used to be, green to replace OEM, yellow for fast road use and red for track use.
