Default Transmission Hesitation

When taking the car out for the first drive of the day I've noticed that for the first mile or so the transmission seems to hesitate slightly when it goes from first to second. It's not violent but is certainly noticable. From what I've read, these transmissions have a reputation for being extremely smooth. With 35k miles on the car I would hope that there would not be a mechanical problem.

Should I be concerned or is this just another "kitty kat kwirk?"

Thanks.

Is this behavior something new for your car? During the cold start cycle the ecu keeps it in first a bit longer before shifting to help heat up the cats and this may make the shift feel a bit off.

Thanks RJC. I've owned the car for only six weeks so am still trying to find its base line. It's done this since I bought it so I probably have a non issue here.

Much appreciated,
