Default Transmission service

About 6 weeks from now I"ll wake up my 2010 XK, before I put her to bed I had all fluids changed as part of it's 10 year/ 50K birthday. The only thing I did not do is have the transmission fluids and filter changed.
My Jag dealer is about 250 miles away but here in town we do have Audi, BMW, Mercedes Volvo and Volkswagen Dealers. Any of these have similar transmissions where they drop and replace the pan ? Also, would you go with their transmission fluid or require the recommended Jag stuff ?
I know that 50K on transmission isn't that much, but it's the 10 years that concerns me. The Jag is new to me and I want a good baseline to start with for future services.

I'd buy the kit (fluid, pan, filter) from ZF parts reseller. You'll never be concerned you did not use the correct fluid or parts going that route.

Find a local Jaguar specialist to have the gearbox serviced. The ZF 6HP26/28 was used by many different manufacturers from Hyundai to Rolls Royce.

Use the BMW dealer. They will do it properly as BMW use the same box. I used my local Jag dealer and they flushed and renewed the oil and filter( part of the pan) on my 2009 XK wich has 60k miles on the clock. The mechanic who did it said the oil was fine but I did the right thing doing the change before things happens as he said. He did a brakefluid change also as I requested.

BMW dealer should be very familiar with it.

Have them do the connector sleeve also. I skipped that 35,000 miles ago and now its leaking noticeably. Will finally get to it this weekend...

Yes, they know the way to do it on this transmission as BMW uses this box in several of their models.

I did my own. Used Jaguar transmission fluid. Cycled through 13 litres after changing the pan. I never changed the sleeve because my car is a 2014 XKR with only 15,000 miles at the time. Jaguar transmission fluid is substantial more expensive.
