Update/flash files interchangeable touchscreen XK(R)/XF
Does anybody have the update/flash files for the touchscreen for an XK(R) build 2009?
I'm upgrading the screen so i can make use of a carplaymodule. But i need the newer screen for that. (Flatcable is incompatible at the moment)
The xf screen 2010-2011 will fit. But then the seatheaters and steeringwheel heater wil not work anymore. The screen needs to be uploaded with the XK file.
(Like in the TSB

It can be done by USB, but i need the files.
Hopefully someone has these files to share.
The name of the zip file schould be:
XK 09MY HLDF.zip
Greetings Arian!

assume you mean the OP's reference to a newer XF screen? no. Climate controls will not work. It needs to be flashed from an Xf to an XK. OP is looking for flash files to do that. It can be done via SDD but it is a major pain. First, it takes about 2 1/2 hours via SDD, fails sometimes and you need to be there the second it's done to disconnect SDD or it will send a fail message.
So some folks are doing this thinking that the newer screens have a 40 pin connector, which is required for the Mr. 12Volt CarPlay/Android Auto device but that's only part of the solution. You also need to have the original iPod interface hardware installed which wasn't available in 2007, 2008 American models. Lastly, the system interacts with can bus but not correctly in those model years so you need to incorporate work arounds. The OP doesn't mention which Module he's installing so there may be other devices out there.
