Default Updating to mirrors with integrated signal

I thought someone here had updated to the newer style 2010+ mirrors with integrated turn signals but a search yielded nothing. Any idea on how difficult it would be to connect the turn signals to the wing signals and what parts are needed or reusable? Looks like the new mirrors consist of multiple parts, motor, mirror, cover, housing, etc.

What about the wire for the signal to mirror? Is that present on the old models?

I'm pretty sure anyone with at least a little bit of wiring experience could make the Signal Mirrors work out fine, it couldn't be all that difficult.
As far as the blind spot monitor, it would probably be cheaper to buy a car that already has it.

I have an idea for how I would do it but so many member here have done so many different mods, I was sure someone would have some tips. And I was sure that I remembered someone here doing it a few years ago.
