Default USA models and their wooden dashes

So I'm browsing ebay to get an idea of possible XK's (convertible) out there.. (might consider moving to USA).. but so far.. the models there are either standard (no luxury cruise control package) and/or all have wood in the dash..

with the launch of the XK, they made the silver inlays available.. but it seems no-one in the USA likes those?

GCC spec'ed ones all have the 4 buttons on the steering wheel, 20" wheels and silver or black shiny inlays..

any hints on where to look elsewhere?

Ideally the same config as I have now.. Liquid Silver, full options, 2007 model XK or XKR (like the XK '07 front), black interior with silver inlays..

USA-spec 2010 XKR models were the first to include Adaptive Cruise Control as standard equipment. ACC was optional in all other years and is rare and hard to find. ACC is the 4th roller knob on the steering wheel - on the far right.

Jaguar offers OEM dash trim accessories in various colors and patterns so you can change the wood to aluminum and piano black.

There are a few companies that can do hydrographics/water transfer printing.
It is every bit as durable as the factory finish.

My plan is to take all my woodgrain and have it done in a distressed pewter color. The quote was $250 if I removed them from the car.

Just as Stuart S. above, I own the 2009 Jag XKR Portfolio Edition with the Spun Aluminum dash. I really like the look over the wood type dash plating.

I am also a big fan of the Hydrographics Water Transfer process. I had my Jaguar engine cover done in tghe Hydrograhic Water Transfer and it turned out great. Shipped the cover from NM to nearAtlanta, GA to get it done. Well worth every penny. Cost about $180.00

I think the idea to Hydrographic the dash panels is a GREAT idea. You will have a one-of-a-kind dash. In addition, so reasonably priced to obtain a unique custom look.

Be sure to post photos of the end results.

so the idea could be then to get any model (in a nice color) with ACC.. then replace the panels.. and if its an XKR also replace the lower front bumper.. (does that even fit?) and get an XKR in disguise..

I have no idea yet how to remove them. It is still a plan I am considering.
Not sure if it will hurt the value of the car.
