Hi All, I did some searching, but didn't find what I was looking for
My USB stick with music on it will be undocked with the car sometimes. When I start in the morning (After an evening on a CTEK and a fully charged battery), it never auto plays and I have to unplug then replug it in 3-5 times before it reads it. In addition, sometimes when running errands, upon restart it will either do 1 of 3 things. 1) Lose connection 2) start up where it left off 3) start back on track 1 and "forget" that I had selected Mix
In addition, I have notided that sometimes the parking sensor screen will stay on long after I have shifted out of reverse. for instance, after backing out of my garage, and then sitting in my driveway, the screen will stay on (no warnings or red bars) but it will stay there until I shift into park and then back out. It also happened today in a parking lot
Neither of these issues are catastrophic of course, but they are irksome. The battery I have it an Interstate Type 49 manufactured in June of 18 (not sure when installed), I think it might be fairly weak at times, sometimes after driving very short distances I come back and the CTEK registers it as moderately depleted and goes into charging mode 3 (Bulk) , that just seems weird to me after driving? But I don't know enough about battery technology. Just trying to inundate you all with information :-)
My parking screen stays on until either I put selector in PARK or I drive and the car shifts out of first gear. Well, that's before I installed the reverse camera. However, the Parking screen while in Forward will still remain on until the car shifts into second gear, or I shift the knobber.

I have a 64GB drive stuck in mine that has about 9,000 songs. Once in awhile it will restart from Track 1 on a restart, but not very often. It also takes a good two minutes to load and start playing because of so much data.
I DID find out from this forum several years ago that the stick should have a particular format, such as FAT32 or NTFS, but I can't remember which.
ALSO, a good Defrag of the memory stick can sometimes help, if it has never been defragmented before.

Using some of your Information and more forum searching, I have found that SanDisc brand memory sticks sometimes have issues in our cars and need to be reformatted. I of course have tried several Sandisc sicks and nothing else.
Brilliant. Will make some changes and see what happens! Thank you!
Welcome to the antiquated infotainment system. No big deal for me, I have a nice modern one in my SUV that I love but in the end all I really want is a good sounding stereo and system that works.
My parking sensor system does the same thing, I learn to just turn it off manually from the button up top if it gets stuck on too long.
I don't use a USB stick but do have MP3 files burnt on to CD's loaded in the front tray. If you make multiple folders and want to shuffle even within folder structure I believe you hold the shuffle button for longer press for that function, at least that is reported for MP3 CD's. We never drive long enough to make use of the thousands I could load on a stick, plus it is dodgy at best as sticks stop responding, etc.

I thought the Audi MMI was antiquated, this thing is absurd!!
I always used SanDisk and would format it FAT32 in Windows, erasing all of the content SanDisk includes and never had an issue BUT I stopped using these when I started just connecting my phone and using music streaming services. Apple Music works quite well and the library, "radio" stations, playlists and all other features of the app show up on the TSD. Not sure who that works for Android users.

This route is great also, the bovee wma1000 Bluetooth streamer works great with my wife’s iPhone and my Samsung Android. Pause, next and previous track work in both platforms.
I think the whole thing has gone to hell. Now my phone won't connect and While y phone can find the jaguar, the jag can't find my phone. Although, one one screen it said phone docked, on another is said no phone docked (While driving). I deleted my phone entirely from the system (took 3 tries) and now I can't get it reconnected. Also when I came home and plugged in my CTEK, I noticed the lights on the meter in the trunk were on Red (Very low battery). I took it for 2 30+ Minutes drives today and it sat unattended/un charging for about 6 hours while I was in the garage working. it is on the Ctek whenever it isn't being driven otherwise. I think the battery is toast, I will just be getting a new one and seeing how that does all in all. (I will certainly charge it overnight before installing it ). But hey, on the plus side, the USB stick was read just fine
Yes, when it starts acting up the battery makes life a pain. When my battery started to become problematic we noticed that the starter would have a little hiccup, windsheild wipers would turn on for a minute when I turned car off, just weird ****.
Went to Sams, bought a new battery, tossed it in, and voila all was good. If you have time to charge overnight fine, but to be honest I have replaced batteries in both my SUV and Jag right off the shelf and had no issue, a lot is made about charging prior to install. If you put it in right away if that is the the way the timing works out and charge it like normal same thing.

It is actually speed related, not gear related:
If a forward drive gear is subsequently selected, the front and rear parking aid sensors will remain
operational until vehicle speed increases above 16 km/h (10 mph), park (P) is selected or the PDC control switch is pressed.
Marc, on your battery query (which seems to have been overlooked) my original battery (in the UK at least) for my 2014 was a 12v 90Ah/800A(EN) Jaguar part number 6W83-10655-CC
What you have fitted may be one of these Type 49 Interstate 730CCA which is 70 less than stock so not what I'd consider a direct replacement.
When my original 4yr old battery failed (the battery turned ut to be fine it was a badly wired up dashcam) I decided to upgrade the battery to one of these Type 019 at 920CCA, purely because I'd added a dashcam and tracker so potentially more drain, no issues since fitting, but did require the battery bracket on the rail to be moved (luckily local Indy did this for free).

Oh, and the original battery is fine and sits on my spare CTEK MXS 3.8 in my garage...just in case
Thanks so much marty, I am going to the battery shop where my buddy works today to have a look and see what other options exist. Interestingly now, interstate recommends an AGM battery as a direct replacement for this car. It can't be this hard to figure out the right battery there are no extra electronics added into my car that I am aware of as a note.
