I bought this car a few months ago and have been hunting down problems in my spare time. Vacuum leaks are a pain to find. Previous owner told me he replaced the vacuum line to the purge valve solenoid. (Pictured)
One day I noticed that there was nothing connected to the vacuum reservoir. Now I am confused about the way this hose is routed. The way it was routed before when I got the car was the end with 2 lines were hooked up to the throttle body and the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail, and the other end connected to the purge valve.
When I look at schematics online, it looks like the end with 2 lines should be connected to the purge valve and the vacuum reservoir, and the other end connected to the throttle body. However, one of the boots is too big for all of these lines, but fits perfectly on the fuel rail pressure sensor.
Is this even the correct hose? Is the check valve in the correct orientation? Thanks.
