Default Vert top interior blanking cap

So I’m assuming there should be a cap inside the vert top to cover the hole in the headlining (where the Allen key goes)?
Jaguar parts dept says it’s not listed so doesn’t have a part number. Is that true or does someone have a part number available? They showed me the workshop diagram and it isn’t shown….

Yes, there should be a cover for that. Check eBay, someone mention to me last week that there was one listed.

Very helpful thanks.
So does anyone have the part number for #8 circled in red on the schematic of the convertible top?

I checked this online parts catalog and couldn't find it. I suspect it's no longer available.

easy part to fabricate. Just cut an oval from some scrap plastic, and superglue a post to fit in the hole. I used some O rings around the post to give it some grip inside the hole and it works great.

Thanks for the P/N. The $94.02 MSRP of that little piece of plastic is beyond outrageous!

It’s been sitting on a shelf for 15 years, you need to pay back the rent for that space.

Thanks all I got the one from Octoclassic. Coming from Poland to South Africa. It maybe obvious when it arrives but from the pic does anyone know which edge faces towards the front of the car? Also it was easier and cheaper direct from their website!
