The weirdest thing about being a first-time XKR owner...
...is getting used to all the turning heads! I'd read about the "twisted neck" phenomenon on here, but when I took my new (to me) 2007 XKR out to the store this afternoon, I swear it happened four times in ten minutes. And those are just the ones I caught looking!
But I can understand the feeling...I keep going out to the garage to look at the new baby myself! (see pic...apologies for poor quality; it's the "first picture with the new baby at home" shot)
Looking forward to meeting more of you via the forum and continuing to learn more...as a first-time Jaguar owner, I have a *lot* to learn indeed!

Congrats you have a beautiful car but then again I may not have the most unbiased view on the matter. You'll be very happy with it, I bought my first Jag back in the 80"s and haven't been without one since. Currently 3 sitting in the garage including my XKR. Good luck.
I have a regular XK that I put the Portfolio kit and a Miltek quad exhaust on. It's significantly louder and deeper than the stock exhaust. The car is real nice and quite, then I push my foot to the floor and everyone looks to see what's coming.
It's great at lights too. Sounds like a vantage without that "snappy" sound.
I love it!
I'm actually putting R brakes on mine.
