What are the chances!?
So I bought a beautiful silver and chrome trimmed xkr that was traded in off a lease out of Florida. Brought the car in to my local jaguar range rover dealership to check it in and show them what I bought to go along with my salsa red cat.
Turns out there is a recall for back up lights. Routine software update. Car in and out. Ok.... Turns out the download dies out half way through. Shuts down the brain of the car. Have to order a new control module. A week later the part comes in. Boom same thing. Fried module. Contact jaguar and turns out the software is corrupted and has to be rewritten. Cars been there two weeks now. I drove it for 3 days. No promises that jaguar will rewrite the software and they just may replace the car.
The car is hard to come by. Especially in the condition and the miles for the price I paid. What do you guys think my chances of asking for something better like a used xfr-s or as in a newer xkr and them going along with it?
The car was a MINT condition 2013 23k miles with every option ie sport active exhaust and the 20 inch rims etc..
