Default What are the odds?

About 5 minutes from my house, this morning, I was picking up some supplies when I happened upon a "triumvirate" of XKRs. I was actually parked across the street but couldn't help pulling between the white convertible and the silver coupe (like mine) for the photo op. Whereas in L.A., XF's are more plentiful than 5 series BMW's or Merc E350, XK/XKR's are still relatively rare.

What are the odds?

Very cool to get a perfect alignment like that. I'm sure I would have pulled over too.

A rear occasion indeed. People driving by must have thought about this...a Jaguar meeting, doctors sure like their Jags...

In all the years I've had my XKR, I've never seen another which was not at a dealership. I HAVE seen exactly Two F-Types though.

Looks like the first 2 Jaguars belonged to the Dr's who work in the Medical Building.

The 3rd Jaguar in the rear of the photos, must have been in the Pharmacy buying drugs.

Nevertheless, you know these owners must make some serious coin, in order to own such beautiful automobiles.

We hardly see 3 Jaguar XKR's together. It must have been meant to be.

Nice, but...

No front plates on two of those XKRs!! I thought the CA cops were **** about having front plates.

Yes, very rare. I have only seen 3 in a row in LA once before.

I have only seen another XKR on 1 occasion, it was at Indianapolis Cars and Coffee a few weeks ago. I was there with my 07 and another dude was there with his 08 with a for sale sign on it. Got a lot of attention amongst the Ferrari's and Lambo's and Lotus's.

BTW, Love the black hood inserts. Just decided I'm doing it to my car this weekend!

Hi Bpb,
You were in the last lineup of three XK/XKR's I was in. How are you doing? Enjoying your car, and did you get to put the exhaust tips on?

Currently on vacation in France, and I'm surprised how rare the Jag spottings are. Seen some XJs, XFs, and a couple XEs, and a couple of F-types. Also saw an XKR (X100) in Monte Carlo, looked pretty good amongst the Rolls and Bentley's!
The oddest experience so far, was in the town of Beaune, France. Was about to cross a street to attend a wine tasting, when I was almost clipped by a '10-'15 black XKR convertible (but I'm not complaining). On the way out of the winery, about to cross the same street, a V12 E-Type coupe came by, headed the same direction as the XKR. I had to stand there a couple minutes to see if I might be missing a Jaguar parade!

They're a bit more common over here - in fact, my neighbour has a MY13 XK. He bought it about a month after I brought the 75 home. I think he liked the sound...

Hey Chadley, I wasn't sure whether you were painting the vents or not. If you are going to wrap them it is a bit challenging (I did it and it worked but it took quite a while to get it right). Ultimately though I bought some cf vents from Minagallery which were very reasonably priced (less than $200 from memory) and quite snazzy with a lovely gloss finish. I'd recommend them.
