Default what's that noise - tapping sound

2010 XKR, ~45K miles. When i turn the car off, there are 10-15 rapid taps. It sounds about about like someone lightly tapping their finger against the body of the car. From the driver's seat it sounds like it's behind me and to the right. I put a new battery in last weekend and noticed it shortly after that. I don't know if it's related or if it's something that i just hadn't noticed before. Anyone have an idea what it could be?

My guess would be the rear silencer is loose, a mount maybe broken?

Possibly a faulty relay clicking make/break repeatedly?

Maybe the vacuum valve on the back-box (that big honkin’ muffler) is sticky and scrapes as it opens after the car is off and the vacuum releases. Try pulling fuse 19 (IIRC) between the rear seats, and leave it out to see if the tapping is still there (probably want to leave it out forever anyway, to enhance your sound experience ).
