Default When charging, added LED-lights burn all the time!

Noticed something very weird. When I charge my battery, the added front LED-lights (been there years) light up, and they burn as long as I charge, no matter what I do. When I remove the charger, they turn off. What on earth? Somebody has done interesting wiring of said lights?
They are always on when I start the car, as intended, I guess. I did not install them.
Remember, I still have the battery problem (goes to 3 volts in two days if I don't use the car/charge the battery). Is there a connection? It used to work, for two years.

I'd see where and how the leds are connected.
I'm curious as how and where those leds are mounted, pic please?:-)

Hmmm I just swapped all 8 of my 5W daytime bulbs for LEDs. After I turn the lights off they stay on very dimly for a few minutes before going completely out. Capacitor discharge - quick and painless with filament bulbs; slow and brutal with LEDs.

Your situation seems different though. Check the ON/OFF switch for the lights?? Hahaaa

If they turn on when you charge, I suspect your charger is pushing some flavor of AC voltage at the battery, enough to trigger a bus module. If you are having trouble maintaining volts after shut down, unwire the extra stuff and see if it changes.

I thought mine went off after a few minutes as well but as it is Winter over here the garage is pitch black in the mornings and I have noticed that the LED's are still actually on but only very very faintly.

What type/brand of charger are you using?

With Sweden (home of CTEK) just 400km away I'd have thought that would be your preference?

The thing is that I have not changed anything, and this has worked fine for two years. But I will disconnet the LEDs and see what that does to power consumption in rest.

At work I swapped in LED's for the incandescent indicating lamps on our Dropsa automated grease systems and they stay dim when turned off. The lamp circuit is 24vdc but they'll fire off of AC and DC voltage up to 240vac.

i did. I connected an amp meter in series with battery. I was happy to see the resting current was only something like 30mA. Aaand the next day, battery was anyway down to 12.2 volts! Battery company claimed it is totally ok. I am _very_ confused.
(Besides, when I took the extra LEDs away, now the light switch "auto" does not have any lights on when there is much daylight. Bad, because in here you must always have the head lamps on. Ugh.)
