quaker13,

I had this happen once too! It wasn't as consistent as your noise (it chirped three or four times, stopped, and hasn't come back). Just enough to make me think I was going crazy. No idea what it was though. I'll be curious to hear everyone's answer.

Although yours seems louder....I've had the chirping on mine twice. First time was a few years ago after I upgraded the upper and lower sc pulleys as the aftermarket dayco belt was defective.

The second time was this fall in which I had to replace the auxillary belt after 4 years and 8,500 miles on the clock. The sc pulley seemed louder than the axillary belt. Here's my chirp from the auxillary belt.

Mine does this when it is cold - 35 degrees F or colder. When i start it up at work after it has warmed up outside I don't hear it. I have about 23K on my OD

I guess I should get it checked anyway

This was a common problem on E55 AMG mb's which was finally corrected in the late 05-06 models, it had to do with the sc belt/pulley/tensioner. I'd bet it's the same issue with Jags.
Go to mbworld and search the w211 e55 AMG fully for chirping and you can see what was needed to correct the problem

There was tsb on belt tensioner on the older R models but I don't think there is any TSB on the X150s.

I had the same thing and just had it fixed last week. There is indeed a tsb on this issue. Squeeked when cold, but went away as it warmed up. I think they replaced a belt and adjusted the tensioner and no more problem. 2007 XKR with 48K miles.
