Default White plug near the battery

While changing my battery, I found this white plug, not going into anything. Anyone know if it’s supposed to connect to something?
I don’t see anyt receptacle for it.

Nothing to worry about.
That plug is used once and once only by the new car dealership as part of pre-sale preparation and it is never used or needed again.
Your question is about the eleventy millionth time someone has asked this question, I keep asking the Admins to put up some sort of cross-forum sticky about it but nothing changes and the same question gets asked over and over and over again.

Thanks. I did try a search here, but must have not used the right wording, as I didn’t get a hit.

It's installed by Jaguar as their entry in the highest post competition where it's in second place below the "best oil" question.

As stated above, it's the harness connection for the Transit Relay which is removed and discarded during PDI at the supplying dealership.

The connector is then tucked away behind the trim waiting to be discovered by a new owner months or years later.
