Ditto for all of above comments. When I compare my E-Type's dash to the XK, I'm still "hung up" over the lack of gauges. I just like gauges!
Just me, I guess.....

Whatever color it is, I am totally digging it. Great wood combo with it.

That is London Tan, I think. It has been a staple colour for UK Jaguars for decades but it is a bit too close to marmalade for my taste. I much prefer the Caramel offered on the Canadian and U.S. cars. That said, the London Tan is distinctive and makes quite a statement.

It's not London Tan, this is one of Startech's full custom interiors. Burnt orange with ivory piping and bamboo trim. Also another Startech XK with plum interior. The last 4 pics are my car.

The burnt orange especially with the wood is to gaudy for me as is the pimp my ride purple. I can maybe live with the diamond pattern . I forgot where I saw it but there was someones car with the performance seats with tan inserts with gray bolsters and tan/gray door cards. If I had my choice that's what I would have selected in a new car.

Well done, its got the feel of a car that belongs to an Earl or someone who has a tailor.

ja so someone did the seats for you. Do you mind disclosing the price. Also where did you get the carpet set from. As I mentioned the diamond looks good.

I'm curious how they accomplished this. Did they remove all interior pieces and re-dye them or start with a new interior in the revised colour? Also curious what it cost to do it?

I dont think its a redye- I dont believe those can be very successful. Also the leather looks of a different grade. It has more grain, which is not a bad thing.

Startech is a pretty high end customizer but I doubt the color change for the entire interior plastic trim is anything other than some form of coating. The cost to one off molds of all of those parts would be astronomical I think.

Thank you. I had the rear seat back inserts, front seat backs and bottoms inserts & full door panels done. I spent a very long time trying to decide on an interior, from full red leather to just red leather inserts, to just red or black stitching as well as several different stitch patterns. I looked at many cars from Aston, Jaguar & Bentley for inspiration. I also spent several years searching for an upholstery shop I felt confident would be able to pull this off. I finally settled on one after their main upholsterer, without my asking, made me multiple mock ups. I disassembled the car myself, just bringing the door cards and seats to them. You may notice the door panels are now full leather, eliminating the carpet on the bottom half and the result is stunning. I also removed the leather from the grab handle and had the entire assembly painting piano black gloss to match the bits on the dash. With tax I think I paid around $1600 total, their pricing was approximately $100 per section, so $200 total for the back seats, $400 each for the front seats (4 sections each) and around $200 for each doors plus tax on the grand total.

The floor mats I mentioned on another thread last year. I had them custom made as it was a real challenge to find anyone to make them without concern for licensing violations. I can probably have another set made.

Also the engine turn bits are being replaced with carbon fibre to match my new ergonomic flat bottom carbon fiber sport steering wheel. See pic below.

By the way, Startech is a division of Brabus, of Mercedes fame. I just spent some time on their site and pricing does not seem that bad.

Jaguar XK / XK-R Tuning | STARTECH Refinement

The burnt orange interior is listed at 3500 Euros not including fitting & PAINT…so I might assume the factory parts are painted, probably with very high quality paint and technique.

Bloody Brilliant Mate! one of most tasteful mods I have ever seen. By this I mean you actually improved upon what you had. Please share your shop with us, its a treasure for Jaguar guys. And a very fair price for a lot of real craftsmanship.

I dont know why folks are upset about the orange, its the same color Donald Trump.

Do they need the car, or is just skins and covers to replace what is stock?
