Default Will they smog test my XKR with service light on? - RESOLVED

2013 xkr. Tried several times to reset the service light. I get to the part and it states "resetting service light" for a few minutes. I never get a confirmation that it reset.
I have to smog it in California and wonder if they will even test it?

If when you start the car and it DOESN'T state SERVICE REQUIRED then it has been reset.
And no, Service has nothing to do with safety or smog checks.

I would not show up for an Inspection with any kind of warning or service light. Not worth the gamble no matter who is on the right side of the law.
