Default Windshield Replace & Dash repair

Just a thought on the Leather dash issues on the XK's. I have a lot of pitting in my windshield and am entertaining changing the windshield out. At the time of windshield change, has anyone been successful or think it would be possible to re-glue the dash pad down while the windshield is out allowing easy access to the dash pad. Just a thought, not counting on a permanent perfect fix, but thought this might just work.

XKR-NC,
In a previous post on the Dash Pulling thread, I had the same thought. We chose to remove the dash and once out it became clear that reglueing and stapling was, at least a possibility. If you go to that thread and check out the last couple of weeks of posts, you can see more.

In about 2 hours I am picking up my repaired (hopefully) dash and will post pictures on the other thread if it's good.

Dash came out like new. See pics and description on the "leather is pulling" thread.
