Hello all…..question. Thinking about updating the 2014 XKR-S OEM radio to the Tesla screen or the Mr12volt system. Would any of you recommend Best Buy / Geek Squad to install it? Are they competent enough to do a good job?

 

Be aware that those types of installers are used to working with generic plug-n-play systems. Any additional thinking or non-typical installs wouldn't be a thing they actually DO. If they can't order a harness to adapt something, they'd be clueless.

I wouldn't let them do it.

 

We do have a couple of independent car audio shops near me. Are they generally more competent? I know they do more custom work.

 

I trust Best Buy to hang a flat screen on the wall, and that's it. I would not let them anywhere near the wiring of my car.
