Hi
Personally I prefer the OE look, looks terrible to me, looks very cheap
features look ok
have Jagdroid in mine, do prefer the original look of the dash
loads of these on aliexpress
also removing the cd player, as thats the D2B network source, does the new one have fibre optic, because if it does not, means all the oe stuff wont work, like bluetooth phone, Jaguar voice, ACM, CD Changer, I still use all these, also premium amp, would mean running speaker wires to amp in boot to bypass it

I bought a 2006 3.0 S-Type with the same set-up already installed. In my car the thing doesn't work properly, the side buttons for the climate system really don't work, and I have doubts about the touchscreen buttons working properly in relation to the various climate settings.
I've gone through the settings, including the factory settings, but I can't seem to find a place to adjust the side buttons. I have fiddled with the CAN-bus model selection. In the settings there is no option for a Jaguar S-type, but from what I have gathered from searching online, you should be able to use the Jaguar F-type model.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it to work?

I figured it out, thought I share my findings.
If the side panel buttons fail, you can reset the device by using a pin in the bottom hole on the lift hand side. Press it for a couple of secs an the thing should restart... That fixed it for me.
The correct can-bus type can be set by selecting the F-Type (the S-type is not included as an option). The code for getting to the factory settings is 3368.
