If anyone reading this is interested in getting some cheap second hand parts for their XK(R) I have found a wrecker (auto breaker?) in Canberra who currently has a 2009 XKR that they are dismantling.

From the photos it looks like the car was rolled with sides and roof damaged. No big impact panel damage. Car is black with charcoal interior. Guy says car was very low mileage and in excellent condition, apart from landing on its roof.

The guy's name is Andrew? Think i've spoken with him before about that car.

One of the NZ forum members was looking for an engine & i put him in touch.

If so the photo's are very old, I was interested in buying the brakes about 18 months ago, they were rusty & in generally poor shape.

 

Looks like it (eBay ad I saw had different photo). Guy I was speaking to was Adrian. I ended up buying the rear parcel shelf as my car did not have one when I bought it. He charged me $100 plus postage for it.

 

Ah yeah, I have spoken with Adrian before & got some pieces from him.

But it was Andrew who I spoke with about the Alcon brakes off the wrecked XKR & he sent me pictures.

If I remember correctly, Andrew is actually in South Oz, but that particular car is at Adrians place just outside Canberra. They are mates.
