Hello fellow X150 owners, it’s been a while but hopefully this post makes up for the radio silence.

The most common requests for retrofits in our X150 XK’s & XKR’s have been;

Apple CarPlay & Android Auto – which requires AUX input to be activated.
Reverse Camera – which requires the camera function to be activated.
DAB+ Digital Radio – again needs some programming.

JLR did a thing for owners of 2010MY-onward cars to add DAB+, that dealers could turn on the DAB functionality, but for owners of earlier cars no dice. And for those looking for Reverse Camera or AUX, there was nothing they could do…

We could turn on these features in our own workshops, but that didn’t help people outside of Australia…

Well now there is a solution, we have made an easy upgrade to SDD, which even a JLR dealer can utilise and then activate the AUX, Reverse Camera or DAB…



Once this update is installed, there are automated routines available for the X150 models to turn on these missing features.



So no more need for engineering mode passwords, or other complicated run-arounds. Anyone with SDD newer than V146.02 (even a Jaguar dealer) can do this now.

These documents outline both the hardware for the retrofits, and the programming method. If you need the hardware, then we can help with that stuff too.

But don’t ask me for SDD, in fact don’t ask about SDD here at all. If you have it you can do this, if you don’t then please look elsewhere for it. Don’t post links to companies online selling SDD here.

There are lots of workshops out there with SDD, this update helps them to help you.

I use the Aux bluetooth streaming that was previously sold on ebay.
I want to install carplay.
Can it be added?
