May I ask who here already had replaced the crossover coolant pipe in a 5.0 NA XK?

It is this pipe in front of the engine:

If you had it replaced what was the reason?
- purely prophylactic, because the part has a fame to become weak?
- pipe failure and massive loss off coolant?
- changed together with water pump upon dealer recommendation?
- exchanged part to stop small persistent coolant loss?
