Default Xk/xkr eyebrow covers

Bring up this old post to see has anyone come up with anything new.
As a 07 owner my car has , as i call them the bug eye shape lights. I like the newer more aggressive lights. Question is, has anyone seen eyebrow type covers as would go onto the light to give it a more sleeker look. Would be a cheaper and easier option if done well, and would look good. I don't want to go down the road of changing lights as to many issues. Also i have seen the threads on splitting open the lights and spraying the inside, don't want that hassle either.
Picture below is an example of what another member did with some black vinyl.

I'm certain that could easily be done with vinyl wrap... and you have the added benefit of your car being black versus a tough color to match. Make the template you want, then lay one piece atop the other upside so you cut two perfectly opposite pieces cost would be likely less that $20 US

Mate the best help one could offer is to change your perspective. Dont look at it from the perspective of modern passing fancies. Its a throwback to a racing classic just like the rest of the car. Frankly I would not have it any other way, including the led rubbish. It just doesnt suit a traditional jaguar. To me the new lights fight the rest of the design, its like a 50 year old trying to reinvent himself.

Imagine if this was a Ferrari, and in some ways it is a smart man's Ferrari, I can assure you they would not try to convert a 308 headlights to DRLs.

About a year and a half ago, Chris at Mina Galleries was working on a piece that actually fit on the bottom of the headlight that would be painted to match the front quarter panel, covering the amber light and making the headlight look smaller and sleeker from the bottom. I don't know if he ever made it available or not. I will be there some time this week to pick something up and can check on it and report back.

I think i seen a post showing what you said, he was looking for an outrageous price for the small piece of plastic and it just covered the amber bit.

According to the Queen of Style, Miss Piggy, you can't do eyebrows without eyelashes and lipstick.

Use some black electricians tape and try a bunch of different styles before you decide on an option. Way cheaper and easier than wrapping a bunch of times.

I tried all sorts of different 'coverings' on mine; around the edges, top only, bottom only, little bits and a lot. Hated them all.
Then I tried 10% headlight tint and it looks fantastic. It makes the headlights blend in to the bodywork and they are WAY less IN YOUR FACE.

I need to update my profile pic...

I am not much for the "eye lids". Looks a like an afterthought.

I would leave all that vinyl tape and chrome headlight trim nonsense to the folks with lesser cars. The Jaguar xk does not need any of that chicanery.

Ya know though, Jaguars (esp XK/R) ARE better than most others. Can't argue facts. No need for us to get snooty about it, but accepting it as true is fine.

Well you should. The xk Jaguar is a superior car to most others. Just like my Speed Queen washer is better than a Whirlpool. Why sugar coat it and pretend that all products are equal. They aren't.
