Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I just called a nearest dealer, they quoted me $850 and three weeks for deliver. My module is working. Did you mention that I can just order a case. The dealer seen not familiar with it or want to sell me a new module. My module housing looks like the one with broken bolts. Regarding X100. Is this the right communication forum? Its all new to me.

Your XK8 forum is here:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/
.... although you are perfectly well encouraged to visit and post on all forums. It's just the model-specific stuff that should be stuck in their own forums, cuz, you know, specifics.

I had an XK8 and the seat module went bad, I ordered a used unit through eBay for I think $45 and took a few minutes to install. It worked perfectly well.
Don't just go hand your money to a dealer cuz they told you to do it.

My memory from 8-9 years ago is just plug that sucker in and go. I didn't have anything TO program anything with, so I couldn't have anyway. Ah, the good ole days...

Save your money and put it towards an XKR. You won't be happy until you do.

That's why you didn't find anyone who did it.

ACTUALLY, save your money and put it towards an X150 XKR. You may be happy for awhile, but not if you test drive a 5.0 XKR. You'll be spoiled and never content until you own one.

The 4.2L XKR is no slouch and sounds better than the 5.0L XKR. There aren't many places where you can safely use all the power in either one, but when you do ... the 4.2L XKR is plenty fast, but the 5.0L XKR can get you in trouble crazy fast!.
