Default XKR 5.0 CD player troubles

Hi Guys, Happy new year to you all.

A small problem with my 2010MY XKR.

I have been using my USB drive for music for the last few weeks.

Today, I pressed the CD button on the touch screen to listen to a CD. It just said the name of the track and "paused" I pressed all the buttons - nothing happened. So left it for the rest of the journey home (another 20 mins)

When home, I pressed various buttons on the CD screen - nothing. So switched the car off waited a while. Still nothing.

Switch the system off, and locked the car whilst I was inside. As soon as I pressed the lock button on the remote, The CD player came on?

So unlocked the car, hit the on button, went to Radio, all fine. Switched the Audio off button - CD Came on?

In the end I removed the CDs and switched the car off.

Any suggestions? is it a case of resetting the system? seems a little strange.

Thanks

The infotainment system is the flakiest part of the car. Mine sometimes won't allow me to skip tracks on my iPhone, nor to engage Mix (random play). I think some software modules sometimes don't load correctly when the system boots. The problem always seems to go away after a re-boot - and the system only powers off when the car is locked, so just switching off & on at the traffic lights won't cut it.
