I didn’t know that xkr-s (or even xkr) came with chromed windows trim. I thought that chrome only for XK and black for the sporty versions.

Anybody can put some light on this topic?

If you look at the window sticker on that car, you'll see that it's equipped with the "Bright Package" which includes chrome window trim.

Mine XKR had chrome window trims as OEM, needed to change it to black. I believe most of them are actually chrome, as black came with... black pack, which was an option for XKR.

 

ok, so apparently black was OEM just on XKR-S. Chromed OEM on XK and XKR. How about the front grill? My XK has the grill entirely chromed, but si saw chromed grill, black grill and I think black grill with chromed trim around. What’s OEM and what’s special package?

 

My XKR came with silver anodized trim which is what I always thought was standard. I've not seen chrome (only polished stainless), and not black either, although my sample rate is small.
