XKR-S rear diffuser fit the XKR?

Lightbulb Lookie here...

It's 85` in the garage and I'm working on replacing the rear wheel bearings (for some dumb reason), sweating like mad so here's some pics taken during my break.

This is how mine looks on the outside. The polished aluminum lip is just a length of 1" x 1/8" aluminum angle that I installed because my diffuser sagged in the middle. Above the middle pipe you can see the corner of the bodywork where it drops down between the exhaust tips.


Opposite side. Between the 2nd and 3rd bolts you can see the OEM tab for holding the plastic diffuser to the bodywork. Forward of that is the tow strap bracket.


This guy... I assume it's there as an industry standard for towing and wreck recovery. Again, it's close to being in the way of center exhaust tips. I need to shorten my Helmholtz resonators to clear it.

Understand what you're talking about, but I don't think there was any mention of rerouting the exhaust, just replacing the diffuser.

Ah yes Ranchero! A picture paints a thousand words. Much hotter than it is here in the U.K. as well as just about winter! Looks like you have come up with some solutions there. Cheers

Ha, yep.. I bodged this reply into meaning center exit. RIF'd it.

Ha ha prob right there! I could go on and on like most of us but couple of subtle things first. Hopefully getting the single resonator exhaust mid pipe mid done at the W/e so can report on that.
I will price up the genuine side spats just out of interest.

Yes, the rear bumpers are the same across all years and yes it can easily be done, in fact I am doing it now as in the 3 pieces will be here tomorrow from the U.K.

I am also doing the carbon fiber R-S GT plinth with LED plate lamps at the same time.

The 2 valances need to be painted and the mid section is carbon fibre.

I went with Jaguar parts but alternatively Mina Gallery has a replica FRP kit for about 1/5th the price.

Thats good to know Jahummer, I wonder what the carbon fibre will look like without the two side valances/spats as it looks to stick out a bit? I priced these original parts up and a rediculous £500 each?? They said limited supply! Lol.

Worth me looking into replicas if you say they make them and if they sell separately to the kit?

Interesting to see some pics when you are done!

You can’t do just the mid section as the ends hang down to meet the side valances. Compared to the cost of the carbon piece, the sides aren’t that much. Or you could pick up the one in Germany. Also Cotswold has the parts available in Oxfordshire.

i spoke to 'Cotswold autoparts' and they were the ones to quote almost £500 for the tiny side bits. He said was looking into making some replicas but not available at the moment.
You mentioned Germany? Any where else I might be able to get some at a more reasonable price or something aftermarket?

Looks like your also running an aftermarket rear box which brand is it the tail pipes look great

It’s still the factory box but the OE outlet pipes were cut off and larger diameter fitted with new tips as well.

It’s the speed pack/first gen XKR-S spoiler. I’m selling the Mina one for $100.

That exhaust looks great! I also recently spoke with Mina via their ebay profile and asked about the rear diffuser with the 2 side bits they said they had to make sure they could get them still. I had ordered the wind deflector (love it) from them.

I bought the Mina difusser, and can't get the thing to fit at all. Chris is sopose to be working in resolving the issue, but it has been month now.

Depends how fussy you are on finish? Mine cost about 1000 which is a lot for what it is but I am pleased with it!
