Thanks but no thanks Dave. If you read carefully you will see that my car is silver, Spidi's car is the white one. I paid my GTR spoiler $350. Installing the wing and painting part of hatch will cost me $350. At $700, I'm far from $3200 not installed. I'm sure you'll have no problem selling it on ebay to some richer chaps... Good luck...

Make sure you plug/fill any holes properly. Nothing sucks more than realizing your trunk is full of water and has been for many months!

I do have to say, the spoiler does look a bit on the large size. Maybe only an inch or two wide.. I think visually you could bring it in by having the “feet” painted. I guess something like that in the attached photo.

My next question, and I believe you own an 07. As you currently have your Spoiler off, have you considered running your Antenna though your spoiler?
I have a new Antenna same as the 2008 and up, shark type never mounted, in original Jaguar box , bought it for one of my street rods but it wont fit.

Says the guy with a XKR-S. I don't have that kind of money to spend on a spoiler, sorry. Thanks for your opinion though...

Sorry brother, didnt mean to sound arrogant or anything. basically the XKRS spoiler is shaped much different and more eye catching than the GTR. Its carbon fiber and all the ferrari guys i know go .... "wow..is that real carbon fiber? on a jag?" It shapes around the back end of the XKR - as its not a "square" like the GTR. It just gives a totally unique and different appearance. in fact I am thinking of buying this spoiler from David just to have as a spare and in case I even break down and buy a regular grey XKR will place it on it for giggles!!

Smile XKRS Spoiler is SOLD

I just sold the XKRS spoiler to Mina Gallery who I assume is going to use it for measurments, mounting points and wiring to make a knock-off. Check with them for more info.

Peace,

DRC

Finally got my GTR spoiler on my XKR. Got all my trim pieces (trunk jaguar emblem line, side and hood vents) painted gloss black. Looks pretty good. I'll let you guys have a gander.

I have to admire all the hard work you have put into this, you've created an original unique car rather then a XKR-s clone. Well done

Whats the price? Any word on whether it will have carbon fiber in it?

That should keep the rear end stable at three digits! It might even reduce your 1/4 time. Now you're going to have increase power say...600hp!

So your saying the 550hp on the R-S isn't enough for the wing!?!

Better remove yours

Wink GTR Wing

It was a joke. You know...an excuse to have to keep going with the mods.

I actually did read a review where they were testing the XKRS on the track and found at the end of the straight that the XKRS speed was the same as the XKR. They postulated (like that big word?) that the wing was providing enough additional down force to actually slow the car down. Coincidentally to the same speed of the lesser HP XKR. So yes that large spoiler may actually reduce your 1/4 mile time. And yes the big spoiler that I have probably reduces mine. I'll take the additional down force over the speed since my interest is more in handling than straight line speed. Although that is fun too!
