Default XKR-S Trunk Spoiler

Here's the story, I go to the Jag dealer to find out the price for the trunk spoiler for XKR-S and they quote me $8900 CAD!! I spoke with Chris at Mina and he told me that they are offering a large sum of money for someone to lend them their XKR-S wing so they can make a clone and sell it for MUCH cheaper... Any ideas? No one out there has a XKR-S that would like to make a quick buck to help us all out... Would anyone be interested in purchasing this wing?

I was interested in an XKR-S style spoiler as well. I could not find anything even close. Hoping Mina comes out with one soon.

The reason that Jaguar prices those parts are so high is explicitly so people don't pimp out lower spec cars to look like higher spec ones. I agree with them. Who are you fooling anyway?
Personally I appreciate my XKR as its meant to be (except I did switch out the horrible plastic grill for a real wire mesh one like all R's have always had until now).
I actually think the XKR-S is way more ugly anyway. The wing and front spoiler especially its droopy-looking mouth have definately ruined the sleek lines.

I plan on making my XKR as Fast and Furious as possible. Huge wing on the trunk, car painted lime green with some stickers on the doors. You're gonna love it JusNiz.

I like the XKR-S lines, but miss the chrome.

Its a personal thing really. I have seen the bright look of a regular XKR with chrome. I like it. Personally I love the sinister yet elegant yet sexy look of the XKR-S and its blackened look. Its like nothing else I have ever seen. Remember - DBS looks, performance, and excitement - HALF THE PRICE.

I am a big fan of the XKRS spoiler. If mina comes out with one. I will be buying it.

Personally, i love everything about the looks of the XKRS. Lothar - I am envious!

I don't think you know what "explicitly" means... but your point is taken. If everyone liked that look, it would probably be an option for the car.

I haven't seen any aftermarket wings that didn't make me think "honda civic tuner boi" but the XKR-S wing does intrigue me.

I think the real reason Jaguar sells these parts for so expensive is simply because they are only making 500 XKR-S.

Confirmed US dealer price for entire assembly is $8,985. It comes assembled and painted, though silver is not one of the choices. (blue, red, white, grey, black, midnite.) It mounts on the trunk deck with 5 bolts.

As for Mina's location, they are in the LA area, but their website doesn't give a street address. Mina Gallery Inc, Contact Us this link has phone/fax/email address.

The only spoiler that looks very similar to the XKR-S in style, height, width and length is the spoiler off a Nissan GTR. It just so happens that a buddy of mine decided to go wingless and sell me his spoiler. It's really a good match. Here's a pic but keep in mind that it's resting on my factory spoiler so it sits way too high and too forward...

That is a direction that i never thought about going. I really like the XKR-S spoiler, and the GTR spoiler is very similar and alot more common. let us know when you get this guy painted and mounted. I would love to see it. I may consider going in the same direction.

I'm gonna have it prepped over the winter. Might be awhile before I can post pics with it installed. My body guy seems to think it will match up very nicely.
