I wonder which colour should be inside the luggage compartment on my Jaguar XK120 1950. If it should be black or the same colour as the car.

Usually custom luggage matched the interior color. So as to blend in with the interior.

 

I think Misterdiegoc is referring to the paint finish on the inside of the luggage compartment.

Misread : Inside boot metal is same color as car with hardura panels as finished.

 

The luggage compartment and under the bonnet were black for all body colors until about mid to late 1952. Then after that date they were all body color in the boot and under bonnet.
