1959 xk150 fhc

 

Does anyone know whether the XK150 was ever fitted with the oil sump level unit. Mine does not have one although the switch exists on the dash.
It doesn't appear either in the spare parts list for the car, so do not understand why they would have fitted the switch but not the sender in the sump?

Does any one know whether the sump oil level sender unit was fitted on the XK150. I can see it was listed for the XK120 but not on the XK140 or XK150. I do not understand why Jaguar fitted the switch on the dash if they did not fit the sender unit. Mine has the switch but no sender unit or provision in the sump for one, Any ideas?
Are there any after market variants, or options

Owen Jaguar abandoned those on the 120. If you have a switch it is either misplaced or more likely for your screen washers. A picture would help.
