Can anyone identify based on this image from the film Ganja & Hess in what exact year the pictured Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe was produced? I'm writing about the film and would like to get this detail right. Thanks!

 

Chris the photo quality is what it is. It is a small tail lamp car so that rules out some but without some more detailed shots nothing conclusive can be said. The wheel combination is very odd as wires were offered in body color, silver, and chrome. Perhaps there is a listing in the archives for a grey or silver car ordered with black wheels. It looks well used and the mis matched tires seems casual. Where was the movie made or who made it? That car could double for the car used in "Play Misty for Me". Best of luck.
