TSW have a few choices in black, chrome & silver with the correct offset and bolt pattern.
I went with black Donnington wheels and they look great.

There are some pix on the link below my signature.

Silver Coventry Hornets are awfully nice, they'd get my vote.

I would have gotten the silver hornets but the price for the chrome was unbelievable ($89.00 each) from Discount Tires when I purchased last year.

Mromanik, are those 17x8.5 Hornets on that cat in your garage? They seem quite large in a good way . What size of tires are they wearing?
Last but not least, did you purchase all four of the same size or did you by different front from the rear (staggered)?
Thanks a lot for your response.
Best,
Danny.

They are 17x8 on all wheels. Tires are 245-45. All 4 are the same size.

Yes. I have the same wheel in chrome. You have to use your original wheel nuts.

re offset....here's a good page with calculator AND diagram to explain what it is
Wheel Offset Calculator

But basically, the offset, along with the width of a wheel will have a massive effect not just on how good a wheel will look on a car, but how drivable it will be also.

ZERO offset means the hub will meet the wheel pretty much centrally.

A positive offset will see the hub closer to the INSIDE edge of the wheel

A negative offset will see the hub closer to the OUTSIDE edge of the wheel.

Along with offset and width, spoke design will also impact whether or not a wheel will fit. Curved spokes + wrong/poor offset may mean the spokes do not clear your brakes.

Too aggressive an offset (too positive), and you may have guard rubbing issues.

Too negative an offset, and again you may not clear the brakes, or on wider wheels, you may not clear other parts of the car inside the wheel arch such as strut towers, shocks, springs, etc.

Here's an option that's very inexpensive, OEM, and kinda fun.

If you don't already have them, get some silver painted revolvers (last pic; there are scads on EBay and Craigslist), and get creative with some painter's tape and some black or body-matching paint.

IMHO, a little paint can completely change the look of the stock revolver.

When looking for stock used parts, I have found the following site pretty valuable:

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

I'd get something that's easy to clean. My 18" chrome hydras are a pain to keep up. I saw some double fives(with the red background jaguar center) a couple days ago and thought they were nice. I'd probably get the flutes or detroits if I was looking to change though.

I like this design. It completely transforms the look of the Revolvers. Kind of like a Jaguar MiniLite.

Jaguar actually did a 17" XK wheel that looked like that but for the life of me I cant remember there name but I do have a pic as we used them on a chassis we was building and had Jaguar front and rear beds so used these particular wheels...

My favorites of all the standard 17" wheels fitted to XKs
