Default `that...bleeping...indicator!!!`

Hi Folks,
Re. 2000 XKR
Anyone out there who can point me quickly in the right direction ( no pun intended ).
When i indicate right or left , it is usually accompanied by a pleasant dull ticking sound.........but not always!!

The indicators alway work but not the sound. Should i be looking at the armateur (if so where) or bleeper ,wherever that may be . Its not a life threatening problem but would be nice to have sorted . any advice ?
Cheers nige

The speaker is on the right side of the lower panel in a LHD car. It may be a bad or dirty connection. Of course, you have to remove the panel to get at it.

Yes, the speaker generates all of these sounds and is driven by the Body Control Module (BPM):

AUDIBLE WARNINGS:
• AIRBAG WARNING
• DIRECTION INDICATORS
• HAZARD WARNING
• SIDE LAMPS ON
• VALET MODE WARNING
• GEAR SELECTOR IN PARK
• MEMORY CHIME
• SECURITY ARM / DISARM
• CONVERTIBLE TOP MOVEMENT (CONVERTIBLE VEHICLES)
• KEY-IN-IGNITION SWITCH / DRIVER DOOR AJAR (NAS VEHICLES ONLY)
• DRIVER SEAT BELT DISCONNECTED

This car does not have a conventional turn signal relay.
