02 glove box damper mechanism
The damper function of my glovebox has died. I found a string with one end still attached to the glovebox door but no evidence of where the other end (frayed) is suppose to attach to.
I know if it slams open accidentally there will be broken glovebox bits, and Id love to avoid this tragedy if at all possible.
Searching the 1999+ manual I find no details of how the dampening mechanism works and only one illustration which isnt very enlightening. Searching the forum Im finding many topics regard the latch, but none detailing the damper.
Any guidance greatly appreciated, (my SO says yall know all).
