Default 01 XKR transmition fault when going into the J-gate ratios.

Does anyone know what it could be? Could it be the shift linage cable?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Hi.

You need to read the fault codes. It could be numerous different faults, and without the codes any remedial action is a shot in the dark. As you know these things are very complicated.

Default Sequential Switch

Bet it is the sequential switch. But agreed you need to pull the codes to be sure.

Without any codes, the first suspect is the rotary switch, the switch on the side of the tranny that the cable goes to, cables seldom fail. There is a module under the console that tranlslates shifter position to digital on the older models, don't know if yours has one or not.

This problem has happened to me twice, two days in a row. But as soon as I hook up my blue tooth obd2 scanner, it wont show any codes or shoot me the code while going into the J-gate...weird. But if it happens again I will run the codes right away.

Thanks for all your help so far!
