Default 03 PS reservoir level???

On my 03 jag I am looking at the PS fluid resivor. I don't know what the level should be and the dip stick thing, cant see how to read it.
All I can relate is that when I pull the dip stick thing you see the small round hole down there in the center of the thing, there is fluid up to the top of that small opening, then if you look in the resivor you can see fluid, which appears to be JUST below that round hole opening in the middle inside there. Anyone?

Check on a level surface while the engine is cold. Level should be between the two marks on the short dipstick.

The cap should have little stick on it with three different circumferences. The fluid should be showing on the middle of the three steps. Why they couldn't fit a simple range band like the oil dipstick I don't know.

I keep my wife's XK8's dipstick in the middle range as well using regular Dexron III ATF. No power steering issues during nearly four years of ownership....
