Default 05 XK8 Acts Like There's No Battery

I drove my, new to me, 05 XK8 this morning and everything was fine. I got back in an hour later and no interior lights, car wouldn't turn over at all. It acted as if someone had removed the battery. I pulled the trunk bed out so my husband could jump it off, and I heard the CD changer start cycling. The trunk interior lights came on, and I tried to start the car again. It started as if nothing had been amiss.
I drove for about 30 minutes, turned off the ignition and again, the car acted as if someone had removed the battery. I took it to our local mechanic and they couldn't find anything wrong. No wires loose. Battery good. Any ideas?

FYI - It has been extremely humid and rainy in my area for several days due to a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. I didn't know if the humidity could cause this issue.

Maybe a bad power/ground.

Possibly a cracked battery post.

Replace negative ground cable to the battery and clean bulkhead connection.

+1 on the negative battery cable, mine did the same thing, cable looked fine. Replaced it with a $10 one fro O'reileys and two years later no more issues.

When my XKR did that, it was a loose nut on one of the main fuse holders in front of the spare tire. No corrosion. Everything was clean and the battery checked good. Just took the nut off and wiped the cable end with a paper towel & put it back on. 2 big fuses like one finds in a house system with heavy wire leading to the battery. Somebody in the forum had the same problem and posted it, is how I found it. Good place to visit for a spell.
