05 Xk8: rear bushings?
Hi guys,
What rear bushings on a xk8 that's prone to wear and tear...I am getting some rattle from the rear when driving slow...the car is 52K ....it felt a little bit like when my front sway bar bushing worn out...I am just not sure where to start looking.

Lower shock bushings are prone as well. If you have a friend bounce the rear of the car and you put you finger on various joints you can often identify where the problem is coming from.
If you have CATS then it could be the valving inside the shock. No fix for this but to replace the shock unfortunately.

I don't have the CATS fortunately...Ok rear upper shock mount, is there a way to check those.... I'll try clear out my trunk and try again...I hope it'll be as easy as spare tire vibrating haha...
I'll have my wife bounce the rear and see if I notice anything
Thanks

The lower control arms are bearings. They can stand some cleaning and relube, but there isn't much there to cause noise.
As stated above, the upper shock mount is the most likely source of noise. The upper shock is located by foam donuts and the large top washer can hit the top of the upper shock mount if the top donut crumbles.
For non CATS cars, new bilsteins come with boots and all the donuts required and fix both the upper and lower sources of a rattling noise... for about $110/each.
