Hello all! Long time no see. Been out of the loop for awhile (slid over to the XK150 world for a minute) and glad to be in a position to rejoin and hopefully get some help with my new acquisition. Dragged a fairly ragged XK8 coupe home and its defs more rough than intended!

Highlights:

• 06 XK8 4.2 135k (sort of runs and drives...?)
• completely rust free and straight body minus the damage at the front (none structural thankfully).
• The colour is gorgeous in sunlight.

Lowlights:

• Been sitting since 2019 after the minor accident seen in the photos. (less than 200 miles)
• Will go into gear but really only likes reverse (shifter issue or terrible battery status??).
• NO service records for years.
• Smells like 16 little trees inside.
• Missing parts (seat belt latches, headlight bucket (lost on the ride here), underside plastics, rear view mirror)
• Massive sucking sound from oil cap (failed PCV system?)

Obvious start is a full service: Battery. Fluids. Filters, Expendables. Then PCV.

Any suggestions for anything else I should be looking at while I have it apart?
